Ground-Up Build- Cheyenne Warehouse Project-Blak Development
You watched us at the groundbreaking of the Cheyenne warehouse project for Blak Development just over a year ago. This ground-up build is located in North Las Vegas at the corner of Cheyenne and Allen and totals 56,500 square feet. The warehouse and office space is a great addition to the neighborhood, providing new jobs and a safe walking option for the surrounding community.
About the Ground-Up Build
The soil conditions on this project were harsh, adding an element of difficulty when beginning this ground-up build. However, the team persisted. Once the tilt-up walls were erected, the project was in full swing.
This warehouse space also includes an office area that can be modified to fit the needs of the tenant. Additionally, the warehouse features a loading dock perfect for large delivery trucks and semi-trucks, as well as a smaller ramped loading bay.
As previously mentioned, the project had harsh conditions to start, but it also encountered a few Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), which is typical for such a large job. The Kalb team resolved these issues within a week of issuance, completing the project efficiently.
The Project Team
We had several excellent subcontractors on this project. Nevco completed the mechanical work, Foxtrot Electric handled the electrical, and Excel Plumbing took care of the plumbing. Our site work, concrete, and landscaping subcontractors were Top Notch, Bull Concrete, and Irriscape. The Original Roofing Company completed the roofing, Fast Glass handled the windows, Woodworks installed the doors, and Steel Structures took care of the metals. Lastly, MTX Masonry completed the masonry work.
All parties involved in this project worked with quality in mind, collaborating to finish such a magnificent building.
