Planet Fitness – Tenant Improvement

Kalb Industries successfully completed a coffee shop tenant improvement project for Planet Fitness in Mountains Edge. The Kalb team completed the newest Planet Fitness in just over four months. The fast track approach to this project was to ensure that the gym could open as quickly as possible. To accomplish this, Kalb Industries selected subcontractors that were able to meet and exceed the expedited schedule.

Tenant Improvement For Planet Fitness

The Kalb team began in the framing stage, which allowed the shell to be completely fitted to the client’s specifications. The space needed to hold hundreds of pieces of gym equipment. Locker rooms for both men and women, tanning rooms, hydromassage chairs and shower areas were also needed. Understanding the client goals of functionality was very critical in this project. The openness of the main area was to hold most of the cardio and free-standing gym equipment. The smaller areas house the specialties of the gym, such as the tanning beds.

Finishes include durable gym floors, splashes of Planet Fitness signature purple coloring, and clean sleek finishes in the locker rooms and specialty areas. Giving the gym a high-end yet approachable feel from the moment you walk in. Planet Fitness prides itself on being “The Place You Belong” and we here and Kalb wanted to elevate that by making it the place you wanted to be.

Rick Thomas was the Project Manager for Kalb Industries, he utilized Consolidated Mechanical, Excel Plumbing, and Foxtrot Electrical. Together we exceeded the owner’s goals and expectations on this project.
